Catherine always felt a strong connection to animals — She grew up around cats more than dogs, and as a child, she was actually quite scared of dogs. But over time, that fear faded, and her bond with animals only deepened.
For over 10 years, She’s been actively involved in animal welfare in Pune. She regularly feeds community animals, gets them vaccinated and sterilized, ensures medical treatment when they’re injured or ill, and supports adoption efforts. Being closely involved in their everyday lives has taught her a lot — and also raised many questions.

During her feeding rounds, She started noticing certain behaviours in the community dogs that puzzled her. She began wondering why some dogs behaved in certain ways, especially in response to people or situations. She realized many of these were rooted in behavioral issues, and she wanted to understand them better — not just to satisfy her curiosity, but to truly help them…

That’s when she learned about Caliber K9 India and Kaustubh Talegaonkar through a friend. She enrolled in their Obedience and Behaviour course, hoping to learn more for the animals she interacted with on a daily basis. But as she went deeper into the subject, it opened up another path — helping pet parents understand their dogs better, and working together to build stronger, more respectful human-animal relationships
What started as a need to support her community animals evolved into a mission to guide others — to bridge the gap between people and their pets, using empathy, knowledge, and communication.
